“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law, he meditates day and night.“ —Psalms 1:1-2
The Power of Saying No
Precious friend, God wants you to know that your sound matters. Amen. In order for us to walk single-minded, we must believe and take God at His Word. Amen. We must read His Word daily, as often as we can, and speak it, decree it, and declare it over ourselves, our spouses, our families, our friends, our communities, the government, the military, healthcare workers, utility workers, and our borders from sea-to-shining-sea.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you for opening up heaven and pouring out Your blessings upon Your people. Holy Spirit, come. Holy Spirit, come. Holy Spirit, come. I give You permission to do whatever it is You need to do and release whatever it is You need to release in and through me to Your beautiful family. Father, I ask that Your anointing would be present upon this blog, and that Lord, you bring people in from the north, south, east, and west to be touched, refreshed, encouraged, healed, and transformed in Jesus’ name.
Pray without ceasing, because prayer changes you and me, and then we change the situation. To walk single-minded in a double-minded world, we must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us. The Holy Spirit makes the Bible come alive for us. The Holy Spirit is our greatest teacher, our greatest professor. Amen. This is accomplished by walking and praying in the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Holy Spirit causes the Bible to come alive so that the Christian community is built up in its most holy faith, based on apostolic teaching. Amen. This is accomplished through praying in the Holy Spirit. To walk single-minded, which is the title of this blog, we must be praying in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is the one through whom God preserves His own from worldly error. In contrast, false teachers are devoid of the Spirit. So, false teachers are not praying in the Spirit, and that’s the difference. You want to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Amen.
As Jude 1:3 says: “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you, exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”
It’s so important that we have bold faith in Jesus’ name. So, in order to walk single-minded, you have to say no to toxic behaviors. You must say no to sexual immorality and stop pursuing strange flesh and worldly desires.
Say yes to a personal, one-on-one relationship with your Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, God honors holiness. Amen. God honors holiness. This is vitally important. You can’t put the flesh down easily. I remember a lady telling me that she was literally battling her flesh. She was going through a situation where she had lost her spouse, and her flesh was calling her to be with different people, even though she knew it was wrong. So, she got on her knees beside her bed, prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus, and asked the Lord Jesus to help her put those foolish ideas out of her mind and away from her in Jesus’ name.
She asked the Lord Jesus to help her put those fleshly desires down because she wanted to honor the Lord and live in holiness, as He instructs us to do. Let’s face it, precious friend—if you’re living in sexual immorality and moving from relationship to relationship, it messes up your central nervous system. You create ungodly soul ties, which affect your thinking and lead to havoc and confusion in your life.
You want to say no to those toxic behaviors. It might seem fun for a few moments, but let’s face it—you’ll wake up and realize you’ve made a major mistake. Today, God wants me to tell you that if you want to live single-minded, if you want to walk single-minded, you’ve got to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and choose whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Why Hanging with the Wise Matters
Choose wisely who you hang with. Those who walk with the wise will be wise. But if you hang with toxic people, you may find yourself in trouble. For example, a neighbor of mine once had friends invite her out to celebrate. She didn’t know there was going to be a lot of drinking involved, and they talked her into getting drunk. She barely made it home, and the Lord used me to help save her life.
However, I didn’t jump all over her. We don’t need to jump on people who make mistakes. We need to be great listeners, and we need to be willing to pray for them. Pray for their freedom. Pray for them to understand that, hey, we’re not against them, but we don’t want to see them mess up their lives. We don’t want to see them suffer because of wrong decisions. Amen. God has a better life for you.
When you choose to serve the Lord and invite the Holy Spirit to lead and guide your thoughts, decisions, and actions, you can truly walk single-minded.
The world, however, is what we would call double-minded because the world doesn’t take God at His Word. The world goes by their emotions. Whatever they feel like doing, they do. If they want to get drunk, they get drunk. If they want to engage in immoral behavior, they do it. That is walking double-minded. To walk single-minded, you must truly take God at His Word. As Hebrews 11:6 says, “The Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Amen.
James 4:16-18 says, “For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Activating God’s Blessings in Your Life
So, I encourage you today, friend, to grab a journal, and I want you to simply write down your thoughts on paper. Ask yourself: Are there any toxic people in my life? If so, write their names down. Are there any things in your life that have been tormenting you? Write those things down as well. Now, look up in Scripture what you are to do to help you get rid of these situations. Amen.
Remember, at the end of every problem, there is an answer—it is solvable. The first thing you do is go to the Lord. You stop, pause, and pray. You go to the Father and ask Him for forgiveness. Ask Him to wash and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus, to set you free, and to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Amen. You want the Holy Spirit to lead and guide your every thought, decision, and move. So, when people call you and ask you to go out, and if they are inviting you to a toxic situation, you simply have to say, “No, thank you.”
Do not feel bad about it. You must choose the right decisions. The right decisions lead to prosperity in every area of your life and help you to walk single-minded. This way, you can go from victory to victory, strength to strength, and glory to glory as you draw closer to God. Spend more time in His presence, more time in His Word, and more time in private worship in the secret place.
As you consecrate yourself, learn the Word, and speak the Word over yourself and your friends, eventually, God can use you to help save those people. But remember, those who walk with the wise shall be wise.
Therefore, it is vitally important to surround yourself with people of integrity, character, righteousness, and holiness, so that you can live the most peaceable life possible.
God wants you to be happy because the joy of the Lord is your strength. He wants you to be joyous and live a peaceful life. Amen. It all begins with being at peace within yourself.
So today, whatever it is that’s bothering you, may I please pray for you?
Father, I lift up every person listening to this. I pray that You would do a quick work in their heart. I pray, Father, if they are hurting from anything, that You would release healing to their mind, body, and soul. I pray, Father, that You would wash them with the blood of Jesus, and set them free, because those who are free in Jesus are free indeed.
I pray, Father, that You release a heaven-like atmosphere all around them. I thank You, Lord, that You are releasing unto them boldness, clarity, and a sound mind. Psalm 40:2 says, “You pulled them up out of the miry clay, You set their feet on the solid foundation, and You guide their footsteps.” I thank You, Lord, that You are guiding their thoughts, guiding their footsteps, and connecting them strategically and divinely with the right, Holy Spirit-filled people in business and ministry. These people will encourage them, celebrate them, add to their life, help them blossom, and nourish them as they move forward into their God-given purpose and destiny.
Trusting God with Your Battles
According to James 2:17, “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Faith without works is dead. Therefore, you must have faith that works together. Faith without works is dead. We must remember this. Thank You, Lord. Thank You for Your presence. Thank You for Your guidance. Thank You for Your love. Thank You, Jesus.

James 3:10-18 says, “Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus, no spring yields both salt water and fresh.”
We are talking about heavenly versus demonic wisdom. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now, the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
So, precious friend, it is God’s desire that you prosper and go forward in every area of your life. He wants you to have a happy, peaceable life, as it states in Deuteronomy 8:18: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
Faith in Action: Why Believing Isn’t Enough
God wants you to prosper. He wants you to have a peaceable life. And it begins with you choosing to serve the Lord—not the flesh, not the worldly views—but to walk single-minded.
You see, the difference is this: if you just go with the flow and give in to people who are telling you to do things that you know are totally wrong, that is not using wise counsel. That is actually just going with the flow and doing whatever someone else says, which leads to spiritual death and open sin. This is not good. But if you choose Him today, you will serve Him. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Amen.
I Timothy 2:1-3 says, “Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.”
“God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” — Numbers 23:19.
Choosing to walk single-mindedly with God is about aligning your heart and actions with His divine wisdom and purpose. It means actively seeking His guidance through prayer, spending time in His Word, and surrounding yourself with people who uplift and encourage you in your journey with Jesus.
The Power of Covenant: Understanding God’s Promises
Did you know that the Bible is your covenant or contract with God? Through your adoption into the Kingdom of God, you have been given a divine inheritance. Did you also know that God desires for you to prosper in all areas of your life and be in good health, even as your soul prospers? It’s all in His covenant.
A covenant is a legally binding agreement between two or more parties to solidify a commitment. In order for a covenant to be valid, all parties must not only agree to it, but they must also perform their individual duties as outlined in the covenant. So, it is very important that you know that God’s Word is full of covenants for our lives. All of God’s benefits and blessings—such as restoration, healing, deliverance, salvation, financial provision, wholeness, and fulfillment—are available because of the covenant.
If you don’t understand this, you’ll never be able to possess what God has promised you. We receive God’s promises through the covenant, and we activate the blessing of God through our faith in the covenant. But we need to understand that just as Mephibosheth was the beneficiary of a previous covenant, so we are recipients of the covenant between Jesus and God. We are heirs of the covenant, and our participation is to receive. We are not qualified to make a covenant with God because of our imperfections. Only the unconditional love, mercy, and blood of Jesus make us worthy to come and partake at the King’s table.
What we receive from God is not because of us—we are not worthy, precious friend—but because of God’s covenant that He has made with us. God says, through His covenant, “I loved you while you were yet a sinner. Come to Me with your situations, your crippled feet, your messed-up issues. I’ve made a covenant over you, and you can receive it today in Jesus’ name.”
Key Takeaways
Father God, we come to You this day with our heartfelt praises, and we thank You, Father, that even as we speak, miracles are being released, lives are being transformed, marriages are being restored, relationships are being renewed, and lives are being totally restored. Amen. In the name of Jesus, I speak the name of Jesus over you and your situation. Awesome God, You are so worthy of our praises.
Our actions reflect our inner beliefs, and walking in obedience to God brings peace and fulfillment. It’s important to remember that God’s promises are steadfast. When God makes a covenant, He is faithful to fulfill it. By choosing to serve Him wholeheartedly, you open yourself up to His blessings and the transformative power of His love.
Remember, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). I pray God’s richest blessings over you today. I pray that the Father touches you and blesses you in such a way that you can’t stop laughing, raising your hands, and praising Him.
Take time to meditate on God’s promises and let them indwell with you so that you will live a life that honors Him. As you do so, remember that you are not alone on this journey. God is with you every step of the way, providing strength and wisdom. “With God all things are possible;” Matthew 19:26. Embrace His love and let it guide you in all that you do. Amen.
I pray that your family is blessed. I pray that your marriage is blessed. I pray that everything your hand touches is blessed. I decree and declare that you are the head and not the tail, above and not below, and that your case is different. I decree and declare that you are going from victory to victory, strength to strength, and glory to glory. You shall be the lender and not the borrower. Amen.
Now, say out loud: “I love myself. I love my body. I love my organs. I love everyone. I open a million dollars over my life today.” Say out loud: “The battle does not belong to me; the battle belongs to the Lord, and I choose to serve the Lord today.” Amen. You are victorious, precious friend.
