“There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)
Discovering Your
Vulnerabilities: Identifying the Areas of Temptation

We all have them—weak spots in our lives where we are especially vulnerable to temptation. What’s yours?
Mine has been chocolate. Maybe you’ve been convinced, for some odd reason, that you cannot get rid of your overeating or gossiping, so why even try? The devil will send all kinds of packages to take the Word of God from you, because the Word is your instruction and your destiny. The devil will try everything to keep your destiny from being fulfilled.
If the devil can defeat the dream and destiny God has placed in you to accomplish—if he can defeat the revelation Word inside of you—then he can keep the harvest of that dream from happening.
We know he is out to kill, destroy, rob, and stop your purpose, keeping you stuck overthinking. This, my friend, turns into double-mindedness. Was Jesus double-minded, stuck, poor, or always murmuring? Hell to the NO!!!
The Truth About Spiritual Warfare: Why the Devil Wants to Stop You
The second thing the devil will bring to you is circumstances that will leave you doubting yourself and God. But, precious friend, you must punch the devil in the teeth by speaking the Word and offering your radical praises.
If you don’t fight against depression, wrong thinking, overthinking, and double-mindedness, it has a ripple effect. It’s like a volcano erupting to everyone in your circle and family.
You’ll hear in your head: Well, it just wasn’t meant to be. I’m just not good enough. I’m a failure. I guess I didn’t really hear God.
But these are lies designed to keep you from the truth of God’s love and purpose for you. Remember, the enemy’s tactics are to steal, kill, and destroy, but you have the power to overcome through faith and steadfastness.
Breaking Free from Negative Patterns: How to Shift Your Mindset
If you don’t fight against these thoughts, you will stop speaking the Word, meditating, worshipping, and acting on the Word of God.
Whenever these negative thoughts try to take root, counter them with God’s promises. Say out loud: I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God has a plan and purpose for my life, and I trust Him completely.
Watch out for this slippery slope of ambivalence and disobedience. The enemy is a sneaky, slimy sucker whose goal is to suck your dreams down a bottomless black hole.
Rebuke all of that in the name of Jesus! Open that Bible, speak the Word of God out loud with boldness. Command the storm to move—and mean it! Then your spirit will not listen to the lies of the enemy.
Key Takeaways
You are the chauffeur of your mind. The mind is your servant. You do not want your flesh feeding off worldly desires, but instead, you want to be led by the Holy Spirit.
So, when temptation arises, stop, pause, and pray immediately. Invite the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. Take a walk and pray in the Holy Ghost. Walk single-minded, not double-minded.
Say out loud: I’m going to make it! I’m the head and not the tail. I’m victorious through Christ Jesus. I’m going from victory to victory, strength to strength, and glory to glory. My family and I are going to the top and not turning back, with the Holy Spirit as our leader through Christ Jesus.
Stay vigilant, stay prayerful, and stay connected to Jesus. Your victory is already assured, and every step you take in faith brings you closer to the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life.

Your work strikes a balance that few writers manage to achieve — it is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant. There is a seamless flow from one idea to the next, and each paragraph is like a stepping stone leading the reader toward a deeper understanding of both the topic and the self.
